Kuala Lumpur, Thursday, 30th, July, 2009 - Axis Identity Group was announced winner of the Design Excellence Award for Offices & Space Planning for McCann Erickson (M) Sdn. Bhd at the annual Malaysian Interior Designer Awards (MIDA) held at Sheraton Subang yesterday evening. Besides this, the group received five more finalist nominations which include Design Excellence for Retail, Leisure & Entertainment; Design Excellence for Hotels, Bars & Restaurants; as well as another Design Excellence for Offices & Space Planning.

Axis Identity Group's winning office design was conjugated from natural forms and inspirational ideas to create an enjoyable open social space with the values of the environment in mind.

The annual event was organised by Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers to recognize Malaysian Interior designers and homegrown design firms. The evening initiated a string of positive developments for both the Group and the industry bringing forth quality awareness in the built environment and its valuable associations towards a sustainable society.

MIDA 2009 Design Excellence awards entries received were deliberated into seven main categories namely Public & Institutional; Retail, Leisure & Entertainment; Hotels, Bars & Restaurant; Offices & Space Planning; Exhibitions, Show Units & Galleries; Residential: Houses & Apartments and Student’s Works.

The Design Excellence Offices and Space Planning category entails the reflection of individual space disposition that forms the building block for sustainable responsible performances.
